Centennial College – Hotel & Resort Management

I finished my program last December 2009 and my convocation was this month of 18th 2010. I didn’t end up going to my convocation because I didn’t get to know the date of the convocation ahead of time and my Fiance couldn’t take that day off just for me. But the weird thing is, they mailed me this diploma 2 months ahead of time. If I have my diploma already – why am I going to convocation for? For the pictures and meet my college friends – but I didn’t choose to go because another reason was I was busy with some stuff.

This program I took was a 2 year program which included 4 semester. 3 semester of in-class stuff and 1 semester of co-op term. Time flew by real quick when I was in college and I met a lot of new people. I ended up with a GPA of 2.68. Kind of bad eh? I didn’t try hard enough. To be honest, I didn’t try at all. I past everything with flying colors. I was just not interested in school. I know it’s important and everything – but I’m just not interested. I didn’t study for no tests/exams. Reason why? I really didn’t have a reason for it. I know even if I study – I wouldn’t be able to remember it. My memory is just ridiculous bad.

Going on my Coop term, I worked at Delta Toronto East for 3 whole months and yes I’ve learned a lot. A whole lot but the people around me make me feel like, this is a crappy job working at a hotel and it’s for stupid people. Seriously, they seriously told me that. As a co-op student, all I can do is just smile and laugh it off. It was really a bad influence. Did it affect me? I got to admit, a bit.

After graduating, am I going for a hotel job? I have to say no. After 2years of being in this program and paying $6000CDN for this program, I have to say NO. I just didn’t like the environment after I experience it. But I wouldn’t mind taking any job at this moment in life. I don’t like it, doesn’t mean I won’t work in one. It’s all about the money, I don’t mind not liking the job as long as I make monthly income from it right?

Your question might be – would I go back to school? I doubt it, I might do hands on courses but definitely not brain work courses. I’m done with school! Would I be telling my kid in the future that school is not important? Definitely not – I want the best for my kid and I want him/her to work harder than I did. There’s just a lot of things affected me in my life and that’s for another story…

Wedding Favors

Yes, all my 275 wedding favors are DONE! All done for next July 2011. Am I crazy for doing them so early? You never know how busy I will be in the next month or next year, so why not do them now when I have the time ?? It’s the best idea ever eh? I had some help with my previous bridesmaid for helping me out folding the boxes together and I gotta thank them for this. It’s just sad how everything didn’t work out for us. But it’s okay – as long as I don’t have to deal with anymore problems anymore.

This is how it looks like. I got to put the favors in and close up the box and yes I did 270 of them all by myself. Where was the Fiance? At work working hard . I only do the wedding favors when he’s at work, so when he’s back from work – I can spend time with him watching TV or do my blogging stuff. What do you think about the gold??

This was not a fun job! unwrapping the favors and cutting tissue papers. I had to cut about 200 tissue papers in order to wrap the favors into the box!!! Crazy eh? But I’m glad it’s done and dealt with. I took a picture of the wedding favors but I don’t think it’s a good idea to post it up here yet. Maybe after the wedding? Because I never know who visits my blogs and it might be someone I invited to the wedding! I want it as a surprise!!

Productive Weekend

A little update with me. I’ve been super busy over the weekend and didn’t get a chance to update… Your probably wondering – what? She doesn’t have a job, why is she busy? I don’t have a job but doesn’t mean I can’t be busy with my online stuff right? All weekend, I had to re-take pictures of my accessories that I sell on my other facebook account. Trust me, it was a lot of work!! I had over 100 items to take picture for. Not only the taking picture part, but I need the right angle/lighting too. That’s not it, I need to resize/edit as well. After I finish all that, I gotta upload it in 4 different places. Not just the uploading, but I need to match the description to every picture. It just drove me crazy and frustrating. I’m not done with everything, but that’s it for this week. I need to focus on my blogs this week. All FOUR of my blogs. That’s my job this week but I hope to cram everything in, in just one day.

This is one of the first thing I did over the weekend. Is to take everything out from the packages, so I can take pictures… This was HELL.

Picture-taking. No I don’t only take 1 picture for each item, but a few to see which angle is the best. That’s the black background I used… Not the best, but I needed a one-color background to take pictures from and that’s what I found in my scrapbook. So why not right??

This is the most frustrating thing! Why? Because I hate packaging it back in the package after I took everything out. But I had to. Most time consuming thing ever. I was really not in the mood of putting everything back, but who else is going to do it for me right??

You think this is the fun part?? Most irritating part for me. I gotta check all the pictures out to figure which to keep and delete and put my “Charm of Love” logo on it. A lot of work. Don’t forget about the resizing too.

This is what I did all weekend. Dedicated my weekend for this and I think I’m done with all the jeweleries? Next weekend is the “Couple Accessories”. More fun for me eh? I don’t mind being busy, but sometimes it can be frustrating too. I just need to learn my patients Thanks for reading and don’t forget to comment below !!

Wedding Themes and Date Change…

Yes, the new date and venue has been changed. Reason being? Personal reasons. Not only did the date or venue changed, we change quite a bit of things and people around. The theme now is purple instead of light blue. It was really hard to pick light blue things out. Especially bridesmaid dresses.

It wasn’t easy picking the right venue and changing the date, it was more like another headache we had to go through and pray that everything works out! Yes, everything is confirmed *phew* and deposit being paid too. Now let’s wish the restaurant doesn’t close down… Just joking!

Why did we change the venue? The venue we picked, just simply didn’t work out for us.

If things don’t work out, we change it. Guess where is it at now??

Cross Stitching Ideas and Gifts

Okay – okay, have you guys notice I have a little hobby? I don’t put it as a job – because I enjoy doing them… I like staying home and in front of the TV. I love multitasking too. RIP Ronald Chan – You’ll be missed

It’s been exactly an entire year. Last year this day. You know, you pop into my mind in random places. I know weren’t really close friends but the memories we had are still there… A year has gone by so fast and you been gone for really a year. I remember last year how I found out the news was from your friends’ xanga. I couldn’t really believe it till I scroll down her post and really saw your picture there… I was shocked. I couldn’t cry. I couldn’t believe it. It felt so unreal to me. Not even when I went to your funeral and saw you laying there… I still couldn’t cry, it still felt so unreal to me. Really, I just couldn’t believe it. You left too soon my friend. Really, you didn’t even walk half your life yet. You didn’t finish your program at Waterloo yet. You didn’t get marry and have kids yet…. A week or two after you past a way, my first teardrop has finally drop because I know your gone for real.

You won’t be forgotten, friend. You’ll always be place in my heart. The memories will be left in my mind. Your in a better place now. I know you’ll be looking down on me from above! RIP Ronald Chan

Planning my life ahead…

After being back from vacation, I felt like I’m so behind with life and with everything I do – even with blogging itself. I use to schedule all my posts and have at least 5 posts ahead of schedule. When I came back and didn’t have schedule posts – I just felt like there’s something that’s not done. I know it’s nothing important but it’ll always be stuck on my head. You know what I mean? I like to do things ahead of time. Just like planning my life ahead of everyone else. I’m not saying it’s bad that people don’t plan there life ahead, but this is just my personality. I like things to be plan ahead. I mean EVERYTHING.

This weekend, I organized a notebook of my own with monthly schedules, daily events, monthly earnings, networking schedule, blog information and etc… I felt very organized. Like finally, I really needed a notebook like this where I can have everything on it and bring it everywhere I go. Another reason why? My memories is not so good and when I try to remember things on the top of my head, it just doesn’t work out. You know what I mean? I need to write everything on my notebook even what I did each day in order for me to remember. So if I ever forget something that you said to me, I apologize.

What else did I do this weekend? Awesome question. I took my first driving class and boy was it boring! After not being in school for half a year and going to class was not something I expect it, but there’s only 7 classes left! I can do it! I’m still very paranoid about the driving lessons *Crosses fingers* Wish me luck. I keep thinking that I’m going to bump into another car or something… But again, living in Markham without a car is very inconvenient! Other than the driving lessons, I went to Party Packagers.. Let’s leave that to another post! Stay tune for it

Engagement Ideas…

I’m need HELP! After being at Party Packagers for hours of deciding what to get, I really can’t think anymore… Party Packager disappointed me because they didn’t have a section for Engagement parties and that made my life more harder… If there was a section, then BOOM it’ll be more easier! The theme will be the same as my wedding, Purple & Gold. Any suggestions are welcome and just leave a comment below. I’m only talking about the decor right now. Food will be dealt with at another date because I have too much on my head right now!! HELP HELP

Decided to paint my nails today! No idea what I was going to do on the spot.. & Ideas do pop up when your painting the first coat of your nails.

Remember, this is very important to set up your area, so you don’t need to get up to get something while your nails are still wet. Be prepared!

It came out looking lovely and summery eh? I just thought of using nail stickers because its easy and simple to use. Peel out on the sheet and stick it on my nails and put a clear coat of nail polish. HOW simple eh? How long did it take? About 20minutes SIMPLE & QUICK! Because I’m very impatient! What about you? Are you going to try this out?? Feel free !!

Overloading closet

Looks like our closet space is not enough! What does that mean?? Throw away cloths or buy a new wardrobe?? It’s time to go to Ikea to look at a shelving unit for our cloths! What do you do when your closet is overloading? I bet most of you are gonna tell me to donate them! It’s not that it doesn’t fit me, but it’s just that I keep buying new ones. Tsk tsk tsk, time to stop eh?
