My Mommy Life

Our Munchkin is now two months old. I feel like these two months has been one of the busiest time of my life and time is flying by twice as fast than before. Overall – it’s a joy taking care of my little munchkin. The one thing I want to slow down is his growth – WHY do babies grow so quick? He’s now two months and is weighting about 9 pounds. I wish newborns can stay  small for a longer period of time because I won’t be holding another newborn.

Remember how I was so determined that we’re ONLY having ONE kid while everyone says – that’s not going to happen. I do have second thoughts because labour wasn’t as bad and painful. But to be honest – I do want to stick to what we planned out. A kid is a lifetime commitment – there’s no taking a break. When their here – their here forever. Hub and I are not really spending enough alone time together already and with two kids? We gotta say goodbye to our alone time. There’s just so much in raising a kid. We’re always worried about this and that. I do want another one but there’s too much to handle. I never imagine us having two. Maybe one is enough?

How “mommy life” like these days? I’m enjoying it now before he knows how to crawl and walk. He’s a sleeper like his mama and sleeps a lot. Which is a good thing because I get to sleep a lot too and wake up in between to feed him and pump milk. We sleep around 1 in the morning and wake up around 1 to 2 in the afternoon. Yes – I still try to sleep as much as I can. *hehehehe* Can’t help it – I love my sleep too much.

My Mornings or you can call it afternoon – my schedule is according to the time he wakes up in the afternoon. Right when I wake up – there’s a billion things to do. Feed him, change him, pump milk, make the bed, brush my teeth, collect all the bottles, wash bottles, and than I can finally make my lunch and eat it. Yes – I come last now! Even if I’m deadly hungry – I gotta do all that before I eat. That’s my life as a mother – but at the end it’s all worth it. It may seem busy now but it will get more busy when he sleeps less and knows how to crawl and walk around. Than my eyes will be on him 24/7 instead of sitting here doing my online stuff or socializing with friends.

Pantry Set up for Babies

I never thought about having a pantry place for the little man till my mother-in-law suggested it. Than that hit me – because this little guy does have a lot of things that needs to be put in the kitchen. So here it is – all organized for him. The only thing I need to do left is sterilize and clean everything before he arrives. A baby consists of more room than an adult eh? When I moved in – I didn’t need a place in the pantry or anything. Soon he’ll be taking over the family room with his bouncer/swing sets/play pan and you name it. What a baby!

Cute Red Pockets

This year would be our very first year handing out red pockets to relatives and kids. Well – we don’t know a lot of friends with kids – so not really kids. Mainly relatives. Of course the wife takes care of the red pockets – I’ve put together a bunch of red pockets a month ago. Yep – plan ahead right? Hub didn’t get to go “Bai Leen” this year with his relatives because of work. So I had to be the only one handing them out. Though – I wish he was there with me to enjoy the process because it is his first time too. But it’s alright – next time he’ll be there to “Bai Leen” with his son!

Aren’t these red pockets cute? Yep – I bought enough for a good two years. I can’t help it when I see cute and cartoon-ish red pockets lah. If I was in China – I think I would of gone a lot more crazier than this because in China – they have a ton of choices. Unlike here – just a few.

Can’t forget the cute Winnie the Pooh! Yep – using all of these for next and probably next next years Chinese New Year. I just can’t resist from cute stuff. Before when I receive red pockets – I usually save the cute envelopes and throw out the boring ones. It’s like a collective thing! Are you like me too or it’s just me that’s weird? LOL

Working in my Home Office

I’ve been keeping myself busy ever since January hit – no more laziness around here and time to start making some money. I’ve been quite lazy last year and never really focus on my work and just doing everything so last minute. Pregnancy is an excuse to be lazy? Well – let’s just say I took a couple months of break off. Now that I’m finally feeling a bit better and not much time left – I’m taking things more serious. I’ve done a lot of research these days and one of them is unsecured business loans – there’s actually a lot into borrowing a loan for business and you gotta be careful on the policies and regulations eh! So don’t just go for any loan companies – find one that’s trustworthy.

Even though I’m more busy at home now. I feel like each day past by really fast and without knowing – I’ll be due with this baby. I just want to get a lot of things done before he arrives. It’s good to be productive and build up for my future. I’m just very blessed that I can work from home and not have to travel to go to work.

Running out of space in the OFFICE!

Yep – that’s my office right there! Kind of messy but whenever I clean it up – the next day is a mess again. I can’t help it – there’s just too much stuff in there. No one goes into this office except myself and I just don’t understand how it can get into a mess so quickly! Even with three tables to work with??

Here’s table #1 – a mess eh? It’s my craft table with a bunch of crap on it right now and under this table has a little mini table to put things on. I just think I need more organizational storage space – so this mess will go away!

Table #2 – Another craft table.

& Finally – my work table where I spend hours on working on my blogs and online work. This table gets messy too when there’s too much table on it. But as you can see – I have an extra table on the bottom to put stuff. Yes – that’s like a total of 5 tables for me to put stuff on? It’s funny because I’m the only one that uses this office and hubby doesn’t even have his own office. Well – his office is in the living room coffee table with only his laptop.

Here’s a little so-called table to put other things on. Nothing related to work or crafty stuff. Just candles, phone, and picture.

Here”s a shelf for my printer and filing boxes. I got this over Christmas – sort of a Christmas present from my other half. I wanted a printer shelf for a long long time now. It’s a lot more organized than before.

Pretty big office but its a heck of a mess! I gotta start cleaning up before this little guy comes along – I won’t have ANY time to spend in the office when he’s here. I’ll probably be up in his room and upstairs living room most of the time. Yes – sacrifices of having a kid but that’s life eh? I’ll still be working at home but not in front of my office – I’ll probably be having my laptop upstairs while taking care of a crying baby. That reminds me – I have two months to enjoy my sleep, freedom and spending alone times with the husband.

Christmas in 26 days!

Yeppers! Nearly a month! I’ve got all my events and gatherings organized this year – have you? This time of the year is just going to fly by so quick because everyones busy! Either out getting presents for others or having get together dinners! It’s been an awesome year and I’ve been counting my blessings! For wonderful friends, awesome families, and a wonderful husband. I can’t be greedy and ask for more right?

HO HO HO Merry Christmas! Merry early Christmas everyone!

Our first gift for our baby

We don’t know the gender of our kid yet but that doesn’t stop us from shopping right? Since Toys’ R Us is having a 30% sale on the bedding and room decorations this week – I’ve decided to pick this up for the baby’s crib. I haven’t yet gotten the crib yet but I’ll be getting the bedding first. It’s a great gift for your son or daughter because the Winnie The Pooh theme can be multisex. So I don’t really need to worry about if its a girl or a boy right? I can’t wait to get the baby room all set up and ready to go before winter arrives. We are quite excited to know about the gender too – get to plan things in advance!

I love massages!

This evening I went for an one hour massage! Let me tell you – it was heaven. I really needed the massage because my entire body was aching and some says its due to pregnancy but I really don’t know what the reason was. I’m glad my hubby’s job is 100% covered with massage therapy – now I can just go for a massage whenever I want. It’s just part of pampering myself and it’s too bad my hubby doesn’t enjoy it as much as I do. He doesn’t like being touched by strangers.

The Chinese Martyrs Catholic Church

Two days before the wedding – we had our rehearsal at the church. That hit me a bit because I wasn’t as organized with the program as I would like it to be. I started freaking out when things were missing and I am  new to the Catholic religion and don’t really know the steps of the ceremony. But after the rehearsal – everything was so much clearer to me. Phew~

I wasn’t expecting a large amount of people showing up to church that day because not everyone was Catholic. So I had quite a calm morning till I peak into the window and saw the HUGE amount of people that I didn’t expect. I started to freak out – lol. I gotta admit – I was pretty nervous walking down the aisle. But after the long walk – it was a relief because everyone was behind me – I didn’t have to look at them. HAHAHA.

Overall – it was a really meaningful day. Something that I wouldn’t forget. I’m blessed and grateful to find someone that loves and cares about me unconditionally. That plans our future together – that supports me from every decision I make. Almost three years being together – we’ve never gotten in any serious fight, never bitching or yelling at each other, never disrespected each other, and the list goes on. I’m proud to say – I’ve found someone that will walk the rest of this life long roads with me.

Spending on a budget?

I like budgets – I like to plan ahead and it’s usually far, far away in the future. We haven’t been working on a monthly spending budget for so long because of the wedding. The wedding consumed a lot of money spending and it was just hard to keep track with everything. Now that the wedding is over – I finally got to sit down with my other half and discuss upon what our monthly budget is. I think having control over your spending is important. I have a budget in everything I do. Budget for parties, budget for household expenses, and etc. It’s just part of planning ahead – if there’s no budget in anything and you spend everything. Where do you find money for a house right? Where do you have money for your kids? Gas? Insurance?

Life is all about planning for us. If you don’t have plans or goals – there’s really no future in my dictionary. Do you budget?
